As a Strategic Insights Analyst, you will be responsible for developing commercial insights, analysis and reporting that influences Senior Qantas Executives, assists Sales Teams and ensures that we maximise revenue performance within Sales & Distribution and across the Qantas Group. Your commercial insights, analysis, forecasting and reporting will support the long- and short-term customer segment and agency strategies within Sales & Distribution as well as across the Qantas Group to maximise revenue performance. Support Corporate, SME and Agency Sales Account Managers and enable them to maximise share and revenue outcomes from customer negotiations and support.
You will work with the Sales Performance team to innovate and adapt ways to report on key revenue drivers and identify trends across key markets and segments. Identifying opportunities for process improvement and knowledge share for new reporting requirements, existing models and sales analytics tools. You will work with stakeholders to identify alternatives, options and different ways of looking at issues and problems and formulate alternative scenarios. You will leverage sophisticated stakeholder management skills to deliver sensitive commercial recommendations to a variety of stakeholders.
You’ll have –
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Analytics, Aviation or similar
- Previous experience in turning raw data into actionable, value-adding insights and recommendations, with a proven track record of success
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to overlay commercial acumen to developed insights and recommendations
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required
- Demonstrated ability to use identified performance drivers and insights to make recommendations around potential actions / outcomes to drive improved commercial performance
- Demonstrated ability to communicate (both in written and verbal from) and present to senior stakeholders identifying key performance drivers and insights
- Strong capability of managing and prioritising a number of competing tasks for different stakeholders
- Preference for experience with Power BI
