Edward Mann is recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer (front end leaning) on behalf of an exciting Australian Tech start up. The role is paying up to 180k + super depending on experience and can be flexible for outstanding candidates. You will also get great WFH options and outstanding culture and career development.

You will be working with a high performing Dev/Tech team of 10+, while also having the ability to work closely with a charismatic leadership team.

You will be at the forefront of developing and enhancing the product offerings. Your expertise will help the business to scale the product as they go through the next exciting growth phase, and also ensure they deliver high-quality, reliable, and user-friendly solutions. The role will lean towards the front end.

About the Role

You will be a part of our dynamic and growing Product & Engineering team, writing clean and maintainable code, performing code reviews, and collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers. Your ability to take initiative, mentor peers, and contribute to solution architecture sessions will be essential.

• Work collaboratively with designers and other engineers to build solutions that enhance our customers' experience.
• Writing code that is clean, highly maintainable, and well-tested.
• Perform code reviews of peer engineers.
• Operate as a team player, as well as coaching and mentoring other engineers.
• Make suggestions on how to improve the codebase and architecture.
• Work with the support team to debug and fix production defects.
• Occasionally engaging with customers by coming along to demos and customer success meetings.

Tech Stack

• Angular - Desirable, but equivalent (React/Vue) would suffice.
• Node.js
• PostgreSQL
• Typescript
• AWS or other cloud solutions (Google Cloud, Azure)
• Micro-services with serverless infrastructure
• Monorepo with Nx
• Jest, Storybook, Cypress for testing.

Your Skills and Experience

• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (incl. performance, data structures, design patterns, networking)
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in TypeScript, Angular or equivalent and Node.js
