Scope of Works
This position will form a key part of a small team that has been put together to build a tax revenue management system for the Territory Revenue office, Department of Treasury and Finance in the NT. There are two applications consisting of an external client facing portal to submit returns and lodgements and an internal application for TRO staff to manage all tax revenue transactions. The .NET Developer will report directly to the Project Manager RevConnect and will work closely with BAs, other software developers and the project’s tech lead.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Working with the tech lead, attend all required software development related meetings, including the daily stand up, sprint planning sessions and technical workshops.
- Develop code according to the software standards and protocols held in the project folder.
- Read and understand assigned user stories and confirm an understanding of what is required in each user story with the appropriate BA.
- Respond to emails and other types of communication from the Project Manager and the Tech Lead including chat and phone calls, all in a prompt manner.
- Provide written evidence across all code developed of steps required to test the code, in plain English.
- Write unit tests under the guidance of the tech lead where required.
- Provide demonstrations of code developed to the appropriate BA as directed by the Tech lead.
- Interact with designated business and technical subject matter experts.
- Develop code that is easily maintained by other similarly experienced .NET Developers.
- National Police Clearance (mandatory)
- High level social and written skills with ability to effectively support colleagues and stakeholders in the project and other interested stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a small to medium team environment with members of diverse cultures and backgrounds or remote offices connected to Darwin.
- Self-starter with high personal drive and a positive attitude.
