Job description:Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust machine learning pipelines and architectures on Azure Databricks.
  • Implement and optimize ML workflows, including data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to translate models into production-ready solutions, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Utilize Azure Machine Learning (Azure ML) services for model management, experimentation, and MLOps best practices (e.g., MLflow).
  • Develop and deploy Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI (GenAI) solutions on Databricks, including RAG architectures and fine-tuning.
  • Work with PySpark, Python, and SQL for data processing, analysis, and model development.
  • Implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for ML solutions using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot deployed models, ensuring data quality, model performance, and detecting drift.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in AI/ML, cloud technologies (Azure), and Databricks features.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Min 2+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering, with a strong focus on MLOps and cloud-based deployments.
  • Proven expertise with Azure Databricks and its ecosystem (Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog).
  • Proficiency in Python (including PySpark) and SQL.
  • Experience with Azure Machine Learning services.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning concepts, and statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for ML applications.
  • Experience with building and deploying Generative AI/LLM solutions is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Azure AI Engineer Associate certification or Databricks Certified Machine Learning Professional.
  • Experience with other Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Event Hubs).
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and tools.
  • Experience in an Agile development environment.
