Seeking an experienced ICT Project Manager to lead a strategic transition in a high-profile federal agency.
Your new company
Join a prestigious federal government agency based in Canberra, currently undergoing a strategic ICT transformation. This organisation is transitioning its ICT services to a shared services model and is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead this critical initiative.
Your new role
As the ICT Project Manager, you will oversee the transition of ICT services to a shared services provider, ensuring continuity, value for money, and a fit-for-purpose solution. You'll provide strategic and technical leadership to both stakeholders and a small internal ICT team, while managing contracts, risks, and project deliverables. This full-time, onsite role runs until 30 June 2026, with the potential for extension.
What you'll need to succeed
- Active NV1 clearance: mandatory for consideration due to the operating environment.
- Public sector ICT experience: proven success delivering projects within government frameworks.
- Project leadership: ability to manage medium-scale ICT transitions using structured methodologies (SFIA Level 5).
- Stakeholder engagement: skilled in translating engagement strategies into action and facilitating decision-making (SFIA Level 5).
- Financial oversight: capable of maintaining compliant records and supporting budgeting and cost analysis (SFIA Level 4).
- Team management: experience leading ICT teams and overseeing daily operations.
- Onsite availability: MUST be based in Canberra or willing to relocate; role is fully onsite.
- Strong communication: able to advise senior stakeholders and bridge technical and non-technical discussions.
