This is an exciting opportunity for front office Software Developers with strong skills in JVM based languages such as Java and Kotlin, OR with strong Python skills to take the next step in their career at a cutting edge and world leading Trading Firm based in Amsterdam. The successful candidate will be working in the front office, designing, deploying and maintaining the vital applications used to execute trades across a variety of asset classes.

-This role can pay in excess of 200,000 in year 1, with high earning potential thereafter-

Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with traders to gain a deep understanding of Trading strategies and implement them optimally.
Drive delivery of solutions by developing, testing, deploying, tuning, and maintaining a variety of applications, algorithms, new research infrastructures, and automation for Trading Teams.
Continuously improve functional and operational sides of Strategy systems to enhance user experience and overall system performance.

Qualifications

Masters degree, PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Similar
At least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer with excellent programming abilities.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills and a keen interest in applying them to the Trading field.
Experience with and interest in building information-rich user-facing applications. GUIs and UXs experience is a plus.
JVM Based Programming Language (Java/Kotlin)
Python is a bonus, if strong enough can be instead of JVM.
Experience with large-scale data and research pipelines compute clusters is a plus
