About the Role
We are seeking a Level 1 Network Support Engineer to provide adhoc dispatch-based support for our client under a 1-year freelance contract. The role involves troubleshooting and resolving issues related to POST+ Terminals and handling multiple hardware/software-related concerns raised by the client. Support will be required whenever a ticket is raised by the client, and timely resolution will be expected.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite Level 1 support for POST+ Terminals (troubleshooting, installation, configuration, and issue resolution).
- Diagnose and resolve multiple terminal-related issues (hardware, software, connectivity, or user-related).
- Attend client sites on a dispatch basis whenever a ticket/request is raised.
- Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2/3 teams or vendor support as required.
- Document activities, ticket resolution steps, and provide timely updates to the client.
- Ensure minimal downtime and smooth functioning of POST+ Terminals and related systems.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in Network/Desktop/IT Support (L1 level).
- Hands-on knowledge of POST+ Terminals troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and connectivity issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to follow escalation procedures.
- Ability to work independently and attend onsite calls on adhoc dispatch basis.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
