Role Overview

We’re seeking a Senior Web Developer whose core strength is world-class front-end design — crafting pixel-perfect, visually compelling websites that embody brand identity and deliver a premium user experience. While your main focus will be designing and building stunning, responsive interfaces, you’ll also bring the technical confidence to dive into backend code, solve complex WordPress issues, and manage plugins, updates, and integrations when required.

This role is perfect for someone who is as comfortable presenting elegant design concepts to clients as they are troubleshooting a PHP conflict or optimizing site performance behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

Front-End Design Leadership (Primary Focus)

• Execute all visual design stages from concept through final implementation.
• Translate creative direction into responsive, high-quality front-end builds that align with brand and UX goals.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and design comps using Figma, Adobe XD, or Photoshop.
• Present designs and key deliverables to clients with clarity and confidence.
• Ensure consistent visual standards across devices, browsers, and platforms.

Backend & Technical Problem-Solving (Supporting Focus)

• Customize and maintain WordPress themes and plugins.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, particularly in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Manage plugin selection, configuration, and updates for security, performance, and compatibility.
• Optimize sites for speed, SEO, and accessibility.
• Work with other web builders (e.g., Webflow, Squarespace, Shopify) when project needs arise.

Collaboration & Mentorship

• Partner with the Project Manager and Design Director to ensure projects meet client expectations and creative vision.
• Guide and mentor junior designers, sharing best practices and design principles.
• Uphold coding and QA standards for all deliverables.

Must-Have Qualifications

Front-End Excellence

• Exceptional visual design skills with a strong portfolio of responsive, high-end websites.
• Proficiency in modern design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop).
• Deep understanding of UX and UI design principles.

Technical Competence

• Strong WordPress expertise, including theme customization and plugin management.
• Solid knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues and optimizing site performance.
• Familiarity with multiple CMS and web builder platforms.

Collaboration & Communication

• Able to clearly present design concepts and technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working cross-functionally with developers, project managers, and clients.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with headless WordPress or decoupled CMS architectures.
• Familiarity with performance optimization tools (e.g., GTmetrix, Lighthouse, Google PageSpeed Insights).
• Background in tourism or hospitality-focused digital design.
