Senior Software Developer – Composable Platform | Java 21 | Enschede or Zeist (1 day office)

A fast-growing Dutch tech company is looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to help shape and scale its low-code application platform. The company specializes in composable software architecture, delivering a model-driven platform with a marketplace of over 2,500 reusable components used across various sectors.

With ambitions to scale significantly in the next 2-3 years, the company is seeking a hands-on engineer who can take ownership of core functionality, scalability, and system architecture.

You’ll join a 10-person tooling team. The team values initiative, technical leadership, and collaborative development of business-critical software.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend features within the composable low-code platform

• Lead technical decisions related to architecture and performance

• Guide the team technically, promoting best practices and continuous improvement

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with backend development. Other OOP languages and openness, and working with Java is also fine.

• Comfortable mentoring and technically guiding others

• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)

• Based in the Netherlands (no visa/IND sponsorship)

Location

• Hybrid setup: 1 day per week in the Enschede or Zeist office
