About the Role

We are launching our first R&D department, focused on developing innovative software and product solutions for DJs and music producers worldwide.


As our UX/UI Designer, you will play a central role in translating insights from research into prototypes, wireframes, and design systems. You will work in R&D cycles, delivering tangible outputs (low-fi prototypes, high-fi prototypes, user flows) that will be tested with real DJs/producers.


You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and our Community to explore new product directions and design interfaces that can become industry standards.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Product Manager to translate requirements and user stories into design deliverables.


  • Build low-fi prototypes for early validation and high-fi prototypes (Figma, design system) for MVP development.


  • Define user flows and interaction models based on research data.


  • Iterate designs based on focus group feedback and testing sessions.


  • Ensure consistency across design phases and maintain a scalable design system.


Requirements

  • Proven experience in UX/UI design (portfolio required).


  • Proficiency with Figma and design systems.


  • Strong background in user research, prototyping, and usability testing.


  • Ability to work in R&D cycles, balancing creativity with structured deliverables.


  • Interest in electronic music and music technology is a big plus.


  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.


Location & Workstyle

  • Preferred base: Amsterdam or Berlin.


  • Hourly rate to be agreed (from 25 to 35€ / hr based on experience)


  • Hybrid: ~2 in-person sessions per month; rest remote.


  • Reporting to: Product Manager (R&D).
