About the Role
We are launching our first R&D department, focused on developing innovative software and product solutions for DJs and music producers worldwide.
As our UX/UI Designer, you will play a central role in translating insights from research into prototypes, wireframes, and design systems. You will work in R&D cycles, delivering tangible outputs (low-fi prototypes, high-fi prototypes, user flows) that will be tested with real DJs/producers.
You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and our Community to explore new product directions and design interfaces that can become industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Product Manager to translate requirements and user stories into design deliverables.
- Build low-fi prototypes for early validation and high-fi prototypes (Figma, design system) for MVP development.
- Define user flows and interaction models based on research data.
- Iterate designs based on focus group feedback and testing sessions.
- Ensure consistency across design phases and maintain a scalable design system.
Requirements
- Proven experience in UX/UI design (portfolio required).
- Proficiency with Figma and design systems.
- Strong background in user research, prototyping, and usability testing.
- Ability to work in R&D cycles, balancing creativity with structured deliverables.
- Interest in electronic music and music technology is a big plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Location & Workstyle
- Preferred base: Amsterdam or Berlin.
- Hourly rate to be agreed (from 25 to 35€ / hr based on experience)
- Hybrid: ~2 in-person sessions per month; rest remote.
- Reporting to: Product Manager (R&D).
