Cyber Governance Officer – Lisbon (Hybrid)
Are you passionate about cybersecurity, governance, and making a real impact in protecting digital assets? We’re looking for a Cyber Governance Officer to join our team in Lisbon, helping shape and steer our cyber strategy across the organisation.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring compliance with international standards and internal policies, driving awareness, and embedding best practices to safeguard sensitive data and IT systems.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure alignment with key cybersecurity frameworks (ISO, NIST, DORA, etc.)
- Define and maintain internal IT security policies
- Monitor and formalise cyber controls across the entity
- Track and report on compliance actions and maturity levels
- Raise awareness and promote a strong security culture among employees
- Provide regular reporting to senior management on cyber governance status
What You Bring
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in cybersecurity – essential
- Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, and regulatory frameworks
- Experience in strategy and governance is highly valued
- Certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementor, ISO 27005, or equivalent
- Solid understanding of IT processes, risk management, and control frameworks
- Ability to translate complex regulations into actionable internal policies
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
