We are hiring for my client in Dubai - for aviation industry. 18 months extendable contract.


The Senior Project Manager will lead the successful execution Operations Excellence projects. The role will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of projects, leading all aspects of scoping, designing, procuring, and delivering of projects from initial concept to final handover in coordination with internal departments and external stakeholders.

As the focal point for stakeholder engagement and the resolution of day-to-day actions, this role will ensure the highest level of collaboration and communication among all parties involved. The Senior Manager will also provide guidance and support to a team of internal and external Project Managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and growth.


Key Responsibilities will include:

•Lead the development and execution of airport projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and strategic goals.

•Oversee the creation and management of project briefs, business cases, and project plans.

•Coordinate the project lifecycle; scoping, design, procurement, and delivery of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

•Develop and oversee testing plans, acceptance criteria and implementation plans to enable benefits realization

•Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle, implementing contingency plans as needed.

•Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior leadership.

•Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of internal and external Project Managers, fostering an environment of growth and continuous improvement.

•Manage project budgets, ensuring appropriate resource allocation and financial tracking.

•Monitor and report on project performance, implementing corrective actions as needed to ensure successful project delivery.

•Drive a culture of continuous improvement by promoting and implementing project management best practices & methodologies.

•Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and handover.

•Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to airport sustainability, security, technology, and resilience systems projects.


Accountabilities:

•Propose and set up project delivery governance

•Lead the stakeholder engagement to define & document the core requirements of the project.

•Lead the process mapping of current ways of working and develop new concept of operations with stakeholders

•Coordinate the requirements and benefits opportunity with internal and external stakeholders

•Agree project scope, purpose, estimated costs/ timelines with Business Owner, Programme Lead & Investment Planning

•Coordinate and support Brief / Business Case development with the Business Owner, SMEs and Investment Planning

•Coordinate and drive forward the appropriate project approvals and documentation

•Coordinate searches for new technology vendors, conduct proof of concept trials and define evaluation criteria

•Single point of contact for general delivery & stakeholder management

•Responsible for the execution of the project in alignment with the Project Management Governance

•Can be responsible for the management and oversight of a small programme of projects.

•Responsible for the development & sign-off of the Project Management Plan (PMP) with the Business Owner & Programme Lead

•Manage project delivery at all stages, inclusive of any changes/ variations.

•Coordinate the Concept & Detailed Design activities with the Design, Research & SME departments within company & with external suppliers where such support is required.

•Coordinate the Procurement activities with Supply Management

•Define the acceptance testing methodology and criteria via FAT/SAT/UATs

•Coordinate the delivery of procedural or physical changes with all stakeholders.

•Provide appropriate reporting (e.g. cost, schedule, risks) to ensure transparent communication.

•Manage the handover of the project to the operational teams.
