Job Title: Technical Project Manager or Producer
Contract on T4
Location: Vancouver, BC: 3 days onsite. Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.
Duration: 18 months
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Project Manager or Producer with clear communication skills and experience leading client-facing projects. You will play a pivotal role in empowering engineering teams to deliver high-quality outcomes on time, while fostering collaboration across disciplines.
Responsibilities
• Facilitate engineering team ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Drive predictable execution of high-priority initiatives with a focus on quality and timeliness.
• Manage cross-functional dependencies and coordinate with stakeholders across the game team.
• Lead milestone planning, execution, and evaluation.
• Identify and mitigate risks proactively to ensure smooth delivery.
• Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to leadership and team members.
• Continuously improve task-related processes to enhance team efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
• 2+ years of experience in project management, technical production, or equivalent.
• 1+ year of hands-on technical experience (e.g., writing code or working with technical systems).
• Communicates clearly and respectfully across roles, especially in client-facing environments.
• Must be available to work in-person at the Vancouver office three days per week.
• No prior experience in the gaming industry required.
Nice to Have
• Experience working in a central team servicing multiple stakeholders.
• Familiarity with game engine teams such as Tools, Builds, Audio, Rendering, Automation, or Systems.
• Exposure to game engines like Unreal, Unity, or proprietary platforms.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
