The IT End User Computing (EUC) Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting the end-user computing environment. This includes desktop and mobile devices, operating systems, applications, and virtual desktop solutions. The role ensures that end-users have secure, reliable, and efficient tools to perform their work effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and mobile devices (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android).
- Administer and support end-user platforms, including VDI, M365, Intune, SCCM, or other endpoint management tools.
- Manage endpoint security, including antivirus, encryption, and patch management.
- Maintain Active Directory and Group Policy configurations for user access and compliance.
- Provide 2nd/3rd level escalation support for complex end-user issues.
- Develop and enforce standards, images, and policies for end-user devices.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive solutions for recurring issues.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to deliver integrated IT services.
- Research, test, and recommend new end-user technologies to improve productivity.
- Maintain documentation of processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guidelines.
- Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in end-user computing or desktop engineering roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, Group Policy, and M365.
- Hands-on experience with Intune, SCCM, or other endpoint management systems.
- Knowledge of endpoint security tools and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Citrix, or similar) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
