Saferide is building the universal plug-and-play compute and vision platform for vehicles. Our mission is to eliminate 80–90% of road deaths by bringing advanced driver assistance and connectivity to the 1.5 billion cars already on the road. We’ve built the first true vision-based solution to road safety, and our product is designed to make every car safer, smarter, and software-defined.

We are hiring a Mobile Developer to lead development of Saferide’s consumer-facing application — the driver’s interface to our platform. This app is how drivers set up their device, receive alerts, install OTA updates, and access features that make their cars safer and smarter.

As our first mobile-focused engineer, you’ll own core pieces of the application from UI to backend integration. You’ll work closely with our hardware, firmware, and cloud teams to create a seamless experience that builds trust with drivers and scales from thousands to hundreds of thousands of users.

• Develop and maintain our cross-platform mobile application (React Native/Flutter).
• Deliver intuitive, reliable features that directly interact with Saferide hardware.
• Implement secure, low-latency communication between app, vehicle device, and cloud.
• Build flows for onboarding, OTA updates, and diagnostics.
• Collaborate with design to create simple, driver-friendly interfaces.
• Prioritize clarity, usability, and safety in every workflow.
• Implement automated tests and monitoring to ensure app reliability.
• Optimize app performance as we scale from early adopters to mass market.

• 3+ years of experience building mobile applications (React Native or native iOS/Android).
• Strong UI/UX sensibility with a track record of consumer-facing work.
• Experience integrating mobile apps with hardware devices or IoT platforms.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, push notifications, and secure data handling.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment, owning projects end-to-end.

• Automotive or mobility app development experience.
• Experience with in-app purchases, subscriptions, or connected services.
• Background in real-time data visualization or telematics.
• Security experience (auth flows, encryption, secure comms).

• Base salary: $115,000 – $150,000, depending on experience and fit.
