Job Title: Part-Time React Native Developer

We are an early-stage startup reimagining DIY home improvement with an AI-driven mobile app. Our app is already live, described on Google Play and App Store as “the all-in-one home improvement app with trusted pros, AI diagnostics, and DIY guidance.” We’re tackling a huge market (the global DIY home-improvement market is on the order of $1 trillion), so the problems we solve have real impact.

You’ll join an exceptional team (12+ equity-holding team members including an MIT CEO and UC Berkeley design and Boston University engineering experts from top silicon valley companies (e.g. Google, Apple and Meta) and build features that shape how homeowners fix and improve their homes.

What You’ll Do

• Build & Deliver: Develop and ship new user-facing features using React Native for our mobile app. Ensure smooth cross-platform performance and high code quality as the user base grows.
• Clean, Scalable Code: Write maintainable code in TypeScript (React Native) so that features can rapidly evolve.
• Regular Stand-ups: Collaborate with a remote team in focused syncs to keep momentum high and blockers low.

Compensation & Equity

This is an equity-only position (no cash salary at this point). You’ll receive a direct ownership stake in the company. In practice, we plan to grant a meaningful equity stake to reflect the early-stage risk and your contributions. The exact percentage will depend on your experience level (~1–3%). All stock grants vest over three years without a “cliff” (vesting on a monthly basis), which is better than the standard in the industry. In short, this role gives you real skin in the game and your rewards grow as the company succeeds.
