Hays HR are currently recruiting for a Permanent Part Time HR Assistant to work for a company based in Leeds. This role is 22 hours over three days onsite in Leeds.
This role will provide proactive professional support to managers and staff, acting as the initial contact for HR advice and guidance, ensuring queries are dealt with accurately, efficiently and professionally.
To be the first point of contact for managers and staff to provide professional advice and guidance in relation to recruitment and training and development queries.
Duties and responsibilities;
- Providing HR advice and guidance to managers and employees, as appropriate, on relevant operational ER matters
- Manage an agreed caseload of operational employee relations issues, ensuring that matters are dealt with in accordance with the policies and in a professional and timely manner
- Contribute towards the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Provide advice and guidance in relation to recruitment activities
- Support recruiting manager / employee / candidate enquiries regarding accessing and using the recruitment system
- Provide management reports on recruitment activities as required
- Support the annual performance appraisal process and personal development plans
- Develop, manage and support induction and probation programmes
- Be responsible for managing and maintaining the E-Learning solution, seeking opportunities to maximise its use and potential
- Source appropriate, cost-effective external training providers where no internal resources exist
- Producing and providing monthly KPI information for the HR Manager.
- To undertake specific projects as directed.
- Support the HR Manager with audit activities
- Provide support and cover for the HR Administrator as required
- Work as part of a team and support colleagues
What you'll need to succeed
- A HR generalist with recent experience and some knowledge of ER cases
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (via phone, email, face to face) with great attention to detail
- Strong experience of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Confident in guiding line managers on policies, procedures, processes etc
