Overview of role:
The Bendigo Water Reclamation Plant (WRP) is embarking on a major multi-million-dollar upgrade to secure sustainable, reliable wastewater services for the next 50 years. We are seeking a Lead Project Manager to drive delivery of this critical project, overseeing contract negotiation, design review, construction, and stakeholder management. This is a unique opportunity to lead a skilled team, manage complex infrastructure works, and play a key role in shaping the future of wastewater treatment for the Bendigo community.
Key Responsibilities:
As our Lead Project Manager, you’ll be accountable for:
- Lead project delivery including design review, construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring the project is delivered with safety as a core value.
- Deliver on scope, budget and timeframes, ensuring the project is completed to specification, within the approved budget, and to agreed deadlines.
- Manage people and relationships, leading the project team, coordinating internal and external resources, and maintaining strong stakeholder and client engagement.
- Oversee governance and risk, handling project reporting, managing commercial and program claims, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
- Drive quality and improvement, embedding Quality Assurance practices and seeking opportunities to optimise processes throughout delivery.
- A tertiary degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- 10 plus years’ experience in the field of Project Management
- Specialist knowledge and experience in managing large construction projects
- Commercial, contractual and technical knowledge relevant to construction projects within the wastewater industry.

Salary:
The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 6 $142,905 - $162,360 Plus Superannuation salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
