About Our Client

We are currently seeking a Network & Security Specialist for our client in the banking sector in Malta, Gzira. This role focuses on IP connectivity and infrastructure security within a dynamic and high-demand environment.

Requirements

As part of the team responsible for the global IP connectivity and infrastructure security of the organization, your key responsibilities will include:

  • System Administration:
    • Requirements analysis, design, testing, installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning of network and security infrastructure
    • Firmware upgrades, backups, documentation, and contingency planning
  • Core Focus Areas:
    • Internet and cloud technologies
    • Wired and wireless data networks
    • Network management and performance monitoring
    • IT infrastructure security, covering endpoints, networks, applications, and cloud services
    • Software-defined security and networking in virtualized environments
    • Authentication platforms
  • Support and Escalation:
    • Provide advanced support and escalation for IT security systems
  • Project Assistance:
    • Assist with specific projects and tasks as delegated by management
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Participate in ongoing tasks and projects as directed

Qualifications

  • Experience in demanding, mission-critical environments, with a strong background in network and security systems
  • A degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field is highly desirable
  • Relevant vendor certifications in networking and security technologies (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, etc.) are a plus
  • A strong team player, with initiative, commitment, and a capacity for taking responsibility
  • Strong command of both written and verbal English is essential for effective communication within the team and with stakeholders
