We are searching for a Senior iOS Engineer to join one of our client projects as part of the Embelight Global team. This is a 6 to 9 month contract with the possibility of extension, focused on a mobile product that is central to customer booking and engagement.

Within this role, you will partner with a cross-functional team to design, build, and maintain scalable iOS features. You will develop in Swift, integrate services with GraphQL, and drive reliable releases through test automation and CI/CD.

The ideal candidate is proactive and detail oriented, comfortable owning features end to end and resolving issues independently. Strong knowledge of iOS best practices, networking, and concurrency is required, along with experience in client server architectures, microservices, and automated deployments. Clear communication and solid documentation are essential. Prior work with international clients is a plus. Candidates must be physically located in Chile or Argentina. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

• Develop and ship iOS features using Swift and GraphQL.
• Apply mobile development best practices, performance tuning, and accessibility.
• Work across client and server boundaries for large scale solutions.
• Own test automation and CI/CD, including automated deployments.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams across the app lifecycle.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders and the client team.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years as an iOS Software Engineer.
• Strong Swift and GraphQL experience.
• Solid understanding of mobile patterns, networking, and concurrency.
• Background in client/server architectures and microservices.
• Hands on with test automation, CI/CD, and release pipelines.
• Proven ownership across the app development lifecycle.
• Excellent technical communication skills.

LOCATION AND SCHEDULE

• Must be physically based in Chile or Argentina.
• Full time engagement.
• Expected duration 6 to 9 months.
• Interview with client required.

CONTRACT TYPE

• Contractor engagement through Embelight Global with potential extension.

LANGUAGE

• Intermediate-advanced English proficiency (B2+/C1) in reading, writing, and conversation.
