POSITION SUMMARY:

The Product Specialist TEM Belgium reports directly to the Sales Manager Benelux and is responsible for assisting in all phases of customer interaction, including the sales process, customer training, providing services to existing and potential business contacts, as well as engaging in general activities that will increase the business results, especially within the TEM portfolio.


Performance Expectations:

Overall performance will be driven through the effective development and execution of processes and customer interaction by the Product Specialist to drive increased utilization and adoption of TEM products. Specifically, a series of key metrics will be measured on a quarterly base.



PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Description of major duties and responsibilities of the role.


  • Complying with sales strategy as presented by the Sales Manager, using product and sales presentations associated with this strategy.
  • Planning and conducting customer visits at existing customers and prospects and visiting all members of the decision-making unit at the end-user level in accordance with the agreed business focus and sales touch time targets.
  • Reporting the discussed and agreed-upon matters per visit in the CRM system, as well as agreed-upon follow-up actions, developments, competition, etc.
  • Keeping prospect and project lists up-to-date weekly in close collaboration with the Sales Manager
  • Composing and following up on quotations after agreement with the Sales Manager.
  • Actively building and maintaining external relationships with members of the target group.
  • Reading and keeping up with relevant sales and clinical literature, as well as product-related literature.
  • Proposing/stimulating/supporting and participating in symposia, congresses, meetings, etc.
  • Proposing sales budgets by region in volume and in sales by product and by institute and realizing these after the approval of the Sales Manager, in agreement with the general marketing and sales strategy, as described by the management of Teleflex Benelux.
  • Identifying and promoting clinical research in consultation with the Product Managers Benelux and dependent on need and budget.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum level of education/experience required.


  • An academic or professional qualification in business or healthcare discipline
  • Proven successful sales experience in the Healthcare industry, preferably Medical Device


SPECIALIZED SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Additional preferred or required qualifications.


  • Excellent command of the Dutch, French and English languages in speech and writing .
  • Excellent Computer skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), Internet and E-mail.
  • Domiciled in the region.
  • Demonstrates strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Established track record of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers.

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Up to 70%
