About the role:
Retail inMotion are looking for a passionate Junior Product Designer to join us and work alongside our product teams. If you have a passion for creating great user experiences, a deep understanding of interaction, an eye for detail and would enjoy working as part of a team designing world-class apps for some of the biggest and best airlines in the world, then we would love to hear from you!

This is a core role within our Product department, working across multiple teams who form part of our onboard retail and technology business.

This role presents the right candidate with an exciting opportunity to research every project and assess your assumptions. You'll build prototypes to test these assumptions. As a designer you will drive this process—from ideation and planning to development and launch. You will work directly with product and engineering to deliver simple and thoughtful experiences to our users.

Job Requirements

Must Have:
  • Hands-on experience in UI or product design is required. Internships, freelance projects, or academic work will be considered. Your ability to demonstrate thoughtful design and a strong eye for user interfaces is what is important
  • Strong portfolio showcasing UI design work across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Desktop)
  • Solid understanding of visual design principles, interaction design, and information architecture
  • Familiarity with UI guidelines, design frameworks, and responsive design best practices
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Miro, and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual consistency
  • Clear communication skills, able to explain design decisions and collaborate effectively
Nice to Have:
  • Basic understanding of user-centered design, accessibility standards, and cognitive psychology
  • Comfortable working in agile environments and adapting to feedback

Job Responsibilities

  • Translate broad product concepts into clear, user-friendly interface designs.
  • Design clean, elegant UI flows and layouts that enhance usability and accessibility.
  • Contribute to and help maintain design systems, style guides, and pattern libraries.
  • Collaborate with product design team members, product managers, engineers, and researchers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Participate in and help facilitate design workshops and brainstorming sessions.
  • Deliver polished design assets including user flows, interactive prototypes for web and mobile platforms.
  • Participate in user testing interviews to explore and tests assumptions.
