Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Recruitment and Admissions Manager, the Recruitment and Admissions Officer’s role is to work in collaboration with the other Recruitment and Admission Officers in dealing with all aspects of enrolment and admission of students at the College, in accordance with the College and Department policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and follow up on students’ applications and documents.
2. Maintain and update admission records and files.
3. Contribute towards achieving the overall student admission targets as mandated by upper management.
4. Develop and maintain a database of contacts and referrals to generate own leads besides those generated via marketing, walk-ins, and Inbound calls.
5. Process the required equivalency of students by coordinating with the college Deans and committee for student transfer from other universities.
6. Follow up on students’ equivalencies results from concerned faculty members and inform the students accordingly.
7. Process admission applications in accordance with the College’s policies, goals, and rules on the admissibility of undergraduate students.
8. Serve as a resource to students, parents, High Schools, and other feeder institutions regarding Admissions to the College.
9. Represent the college at external recruitment and internal events.
10. Contribute to the evaluation and development of the college’s student recruitment activities such as open days, and campaign tours.
11. Deliver high-quality presentations about the college both on and off campus.
12. Liaise and network with high school career advisors to develop effective relationships to meet student recruitment targets.
13. Participate in local school visits & other students’ recruitment events.
14. Participate in the students’ graduation ceremony and orientation events.
15. Advise applicants regarding admissions requirements, eligibility for admission, program options, residency requirements, and other matters related to their admission to the College.
16. Offer a personalized consultative approach to qualified students and guide them throughout the admission process.
17. Respond to general questions about the College’s campus life, academic programs, and requirements.
18. Follow up and advise the diploma graduate students to pursue their studies and accordingly meet the College’s articulation target.
19. This may include providing services and referrals for specific students during the recruitment and admissions process.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Experience:

2-4 years of work experience in a similar position.

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited College/University is essential.
