Role Description:

The Software QA Engineer participates and assists in aspects of the software development lifecycle ensuring the quality output of the team meets the organizations expectations by continuously identifying ways to improve quality and efficiency. With an emphasis on automation first approach, the Software QA Engineer is expected to contribute towards the test automation effort. The Software QA Engineer is able to clearly communicate and train other Junior team members on the complexities of the system. The Software QA Engineer understands user and partner interactions with the system and software to ensure a great user experience.

Location: Euro Plus d.o.o., Šenčur, Slovenia (Loftware group), hybrid work with 3 days in the office

Responsibilities:

• Actively participates and contributes to the design and coding activities required to support test automation.
• Closely collaborates with the team in Šenčur and others across the organization.
• Identification and preparation of manual test cases, to be converted to automated tests.
• Experience in writing automated tests in various test automation frameworks.
• Follows industry best practices related to automated test coding.
• Ensure quality standards and best practices are met.
• Provide key metrics that can be used to improve quality and actively contributes to the engineering team OKRs.
• Execute and analyze automated tests in CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze and report key quality metrics including escaped defects, customer escalations, etc… Assist in improving test coverage and product quality which will improve the quality metrics.
• Actively investigate and analyze failing automated tests, ensuring follow-up and resolution is done that could result in fixing of tests or raising defects.
• Actively participates in all sprint ceremonies.
• Perform exploratory testing

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, related field, or relevant experience
• Experience developing or automating in Java, C#, or related programming language and scripting languages (JScript, TypeScript, Python)
• Experience with API test automation
• Strong investigative and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Database environments (SQL Server, Postgres, etc.)
• Experience with Cloud based technologies (AWS, Azure)
• Flexible and adaptable in meeting the changing needs of the business
• Knowledge of the Loftware Test Framework (nice to have)
• Location: Šenčur

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Outside the box thinker, always wanting to improve.
• Fluent in English language.
