Telecom Infrastructure Engineer - English speaking

We are currently looking for a Core Network Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen our Swiss Core Network team. You will work in an international and dynamic environment and will work closely with other functional areas and stakeholders. You are expected to proactively identify and initiate internal improvements as well as to broaden responsibilities beyond the job description.

Main activities and tasks:

• Responsible for the planning, design, strategy formulation, capability introduction, and improvement of delivery solution for Core NFVI products, provide on-site support for key projects, ensure the successful delivery of project and stable network operation.
• Responsible for building the maintainability of the mainstream product solution. Based on the network and product evolution and customer requirements, to design and deliver a solution in consideration of low-cost, high-quality, and digital maintenance.
• Planning and coordinating the implementation of project plans and the penetration of new technology.
• Provide technical assistance for in-time and quality implementation of major network upgrades or expansions, follow internal flows and systems to support project delivery.
• Primary interface and point of reference for the customer’s technical and engineering staff inquiries and follow-up.
• Assist in design, engineering, testing and rollout of newly defined products
• Prepare the necessary configuration and validation for new installations and upgrades

Required Education, Trainings and Experience:

• Deep technology background of Core NFVI products and solutions, good understanding of telecom hardware, virtualization and container technologies; familiar with Huawei NFV solution is considered as a plus.
• Good knowledge of Core infrastructure - NFV solutions, experience with PCF / PCRF and familiarity with Gx and N7 signaling is considered as a plus.
• Have good IP network skills and TCP/IP knowledge; experienced in UNIX systems and applications.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Network operation and management.
• Ideally Bachelor or higher degree in engineering, information technologies, telecommunication or similar technical fields.
• Great adaptability and flexibility to changes in a fast-growing organization; excellent communication, negotiation and reporting skills.
• Demonstrable and proven ability to participate in large scale projects, to implement project requirements and to provide project technical support.
• Capability to understand process frameworks and to support process implementation and optimization.
• Extensive practice in drawing up technical or operational specifications and to understand requirements from the customer or the field forces.
• Solid understanding of security rules and standards.
• Candidates must be eligible to work within Switzerland.
