Python Developer

Role: Senior Python Backend Developer (DevOps & Azure)

Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands

Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Backend Developer with strong expertise in DevOps and Azure cloud services. The role involves designing and developing scalable backend solutions, implementing DevOps best practices, managing relational databases, and working collaboratively in an Agile environment. The ideal candidate should have excellent problem-solving skills, hands-on experience with cloud-native development, and the ability to contribute actively as a team player.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable, maintainable backend APIs and services using Python.
• Implement and manage DevOps practices for deployment, integration, and monitoring.
• Optimize and maintain relational databases using SQL and PLSQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align development with business goals.
• Manage version control using Git and follow collaborative workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with strong analytical skills.
• Follow Agile methodologies for iterative development and continuous delivery.
• Perform basic Linux system administration tasks as required.
• Contribute as a proactive team player, open to feedback and continuous learning.

Required Skills:

Primary Skills:

• Strong experience in Python backend API development (FastAPI, Flask, Celery).
• Hands-on with asynchronous Python networking (httpx, aiohttp).
• Proficiency in relational databases and ORM frameworks (SQLAlchemy, sqlmodel, MySQL).
• Solid understanding of DevOps tools and practices: Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux server administration.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure services, including:
• Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines)
• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Azure Functions & App Services
• Azure Monitor & Log Analytics

Secondary Skills:

• Knowledge of concurrent programming in Python.
• Familiarity with ASGI/WSGI, Apache, Nginx.
• Understanding of network security protocols (Mutual TLS, SSL, OAuth 2.0).
• Exposure to collaboration and documentation tools (JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint).
