Role Summary

The CTO will shape the technology vision and build scalable infrastructure to drive the next phase of growth. This role oversees engineering, product, and data, with a focus on AI-powered automation, personalisation, and monetisation. The CTO will work closely with leadership to transform the platform into a high-speed, high-integrity, AI-driven business.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the full-stack technology strategy across platforms, applications, data, and automation.
• Design API-first, modular systems that scale and adapt across markets.
• Build a data-driven flywheel where user activity enhances insights and monetization.
• Develop AI for personalization, content curation, targeting, and customer journeys.
• Automate key operations including profiling, segmentation, and campaign delivery.
• Implement human-in-the-loop models to safeguard quality and trust.
• Lead data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and real-time activation.
• Build recommendation engines to boost engagement and relevance.
• Drive engineering excellence through agile processes, QA, release management, and documentation.
• Scale and lead distributed engineering and product teams.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure technology directly supports business growth.

Key Qualifications

• CTO or VP Engineering at a consumer or data-driven platform.
• Proven experience scaling consumer platforms (web + mobile).
• Strong foundation in AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, and data architecture.
• Experience with AI automation, recommendation engines, or campaign platforms.
• Skilled in balancing speed, scalability, cost, and governance.
• Track record of building and leading global engineering teams.
• Fluency in Mandarin required to manage offshore teams effectively.
