Job Summary – Junior Security Analyst (Clemson University)
- Communicate vulnerability information to non-security personnel effectively
- Perform vulnerability scanning and coordinate remediation with responsible teams
- Deploy and manage Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions
- Review and process firewall change requests
- Research and assess newly released vulnerabilities
- Assist with incident response and security investigations
- Support Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) assessments
- Create security alerts in SIEM based on data from various security tools
- Work with web applications and databases (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL)
- Utilize networking tools (Nmap, Wireshark) and conduct vulnerability scanning
- Collaborate remotely with some onsite travel required (approx. 2 weeks/year)
- Preferred: Experience with SIEM searches, Palo Alto Firewalls, NIST 800-53, and SECURITY+ certification
