Job Title: Business Analyst – Finastra Fusion Loan IQ

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Finastra Fusion Loan IQ to support system implementations, interface development, functional testing, and integration with core banking systems. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure the seamless operation of Loan IQ functionalities across syndicated and bilateral loan processes. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Loan IQ modules, SDK development, data model, and functional workflows, combined with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering

  • Collaborate with business users, product owners, and IT teams to capture and document business requirements.
  • Prepare Business Requirement Specifications (BRS) and Functional Specifications aligned with Loan IQ functionalities.
  • Perform business process analysis and mapping to ensure accurate loan administration workflows.

Loan IQ Expertise

  • Provide end-to-end support for Loan IQ modules, including Customer Setup, Deal Building, Facility Management, Portfolio Management, Secondary Sales, Payments, Fee Types, Swaps, Collaterals, Ticklers, Repayment Schedules, and Adhoc Queries.
  • Configure Loan IQ functional setups and validate loan accounting, accruals, and GL entry generation.
  • Support nightly batch operations, data model validation, and pricing/accrual processes.
  • Utilize SDK (inquiry scripts, event triggers, scripted APIs, scripted batches) for customization and interface development.

System Implementation & Testing

  • Participate in Loan IQ system implementations, upgrades, and integrations with core banking platforms.
  • Support SIT/UAT by preparing test cases, conducting regression testing, and validating system functionality.
  • Manage defect life cycle, track issues, and ensure resolution within deadlines.
  • Assist in interface troubleshooting, debugging functional and technical issues.

Technical Support & Integration

  • Provide assistance in Loan IQ interface design using Java/J2EE, XML, REST API, and Oracle (packages, stored procedures).
  • Support system integration with core banking and other external applications.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality, and IT governance standards.

Stakeholder Engagement & Documentation

  • Act as a liaison between business users, IT teams, and vendors to ensure requirements are met.
  • Develop user documentation, training materials, and process manuals.
  • Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions, workshops, and training for users and internal teams.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience with Loan IQ application implementations and interface development.
  • At least 4 years of banking industry system support and implementations, with 3+ years in IT.
  • Strong knowledge of Loan IQ Data Dictionary (7.7.X), Loan IQ Framework, RFR functionality, and MX Payments.
  • Experience in SIT/UAT testing, regression testing, and system integration with core banking systems.
  • Hands-on experience in SDK scripting, inquiry APIs, event management, and batch processing.
  • Proficiency in Java/J2EE, XML, REST API, and Oracle (packages & procedures).
