Summary:


The Project Control Manager will be responsible for the planning & scheduling, cost forecasting & monitoring along with risk management & reporting of projects within TR Qatar. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are delivered within budget, on time & to the required quality & safety standards.

PCM will manage project controls team in the project providing proper guidance to the project managers & corporate management.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Direction of Project Control Team assigned to the project (planning, cost and RROO).
  • Strong analytical skills required to review all project controls information and ensure accuracy as well as identify issues, concerns and potential mitigations.
  • Develop and maintain project cost, schedule, and budget plans to ensure that project objectives are met.
  • Identify and communicate design changes, scope changes, schedule slippages and potential impacts and participate in the identification of mitigations. Ensure trends of cost and schedule are identified and suggest corrective actions.
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular reports to project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and address project issues and develop solutions.
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time
  • Interaction with project control Stakeholder to ensure TR requirements are incorporated into project systems and to ensure the coordination of Schedule and project control of the project.
  • Establish risk management protocol which includes identification, documentation and tracking of potential risk of the project in accordance to TR procedures. In addition, determine potential cost and schedule/progress impacts of potential risk identified.
  • Schedule analysis, identification of potential claims and development of schedule inputs into contract claim support.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, change requests, and status reports.
  • Mentor and lead a large staff of project controls team members ensuring that project controls is staffed appropriately. Conduct regular performance reviews and manage any staffing issues that may arise.


Requirements:


  • A Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related fields.
  • At least 15-20 years of experience in Project Controls, with at least 5 years in a Managerial role (managing large, complex EPC projects in the oil & gas industry).
  • Extensive experience with large scale capital projects, ideally in Upstream, Midstream, or LNG related projects.
  • Strong knowledge of cost control, planning & scheduling, risk management, and change management.
  • Expertise in EVM, forecasting, and project performance analysis.
  • Familiarity with Middle Eastern Oil & Gas market dynamics is preferrable.
  • Proficiency with project controls software
