Deccan AI is a model training and eval startup headquartered in the Bay Area. We are founded by IIT Bombay, IIM Ahmedabad and ex-Google alumni, and work with some of the top AI frontier labs in the world, e.g. Google Deepmind, Snowflake, and many more. We are backed by Prosus Ventures, and our India delivery office is in Hyderabad. Most of our roles are on-site i.e. Bay Area / Hyderabad.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Golang Developer – Fresher to join our backend engineering team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or junior developers who are passionate about backend systems, APIs, and scalable application development, and are eager to learn Go (Golang) in a real-world environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent practical skills)
• Basic understanding of Golang syntax and fundamentals
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering concepts
• Familiarity with REST APIs and client-server architecture
• Exposure to databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
• Understanding of Git or other version control systems
• Strong problem-solving ability, eagerness to learn, and good collaboration skills

Good to Have

• Internship or academic project experience in backend development (preferably in Go, Python, or Java)
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Understanding of concurrency and multithreading concepts
• Knowledge of testing frameworks for backend services
