Data Scientist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Scientist with over 5 years of experience in applying advanced Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Computer Vision (CV) techniques to real-world problems. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, business acumen, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Prior exposure to Generative AI models (LLMs, VLMs, MLLMs) and Big Data ecosystems is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a Data Scientist for data handling, extraction, manipulation; creating structured form of data and pulling tangible insights from data
• Uses predictive modelling, statistics, trend analysis and other data analysis techniques to explore data and to answer specific research questions.
• Design, develop, and implement end-to-end data science solutions using structured and unstructured data.
• Take inputs from the Manager/Consultant to develop statistical models (predictive modelling, forecasting etc.) and apply appropriate techniques such as Exploratory Analysis, Regression, and Association etc.
• Develop executive presentation to present the analytical insights derived from the data analysis.
• Flexible to work on any problem statement in the space of AI-ML (NLP, CV & Predictive Analytics & Maintenance etc.)
• Must have a business problem understanding specifically from the domain of Automobile, Manufacturing, E-commerce, Aviation & digital things.
• Ability to deal well with ambiguity and act with autonomy.
• Collaborates with the team in order to improve the effectiveness of computational models through the use of data and feedback from stakeholders.
• Supports development of machine learning models with guidance from more senior co-workers
• Support and mentor junior data science team members, as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer, working on real-world AI/ML projects.
• Strong expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, and Computer Vision techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI models (LLMs, VLMs, MLLMs), and an understanding of multi-modal neural networks and Transformer architectures.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and key ML/DL libraries (Scikit-learn, Pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of SQL-based and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB).
• Experience with statistical tools and platforms like WEKA, KNIME, Power BI, etc.
• Working experience with Big Data technologies – HDFS, Spark, Hive, Sqoop, MapReduce.
• Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) – any hands-on experience is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Domain experience in Automotive, Manufacturing, E-commerce, Aviation, or Digital Platforms is highly desirable.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team setting with a proactive mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or a related field is typically the minimum requirement. Preferred a master's degree in data science, or a related field for advanced roles.
• Experience: Data Scientist requires 5+ years of experience in related fields such as database administration, data engineering, programming and data analytics.
