Fullstack Engineer – Auro Door

Location: London, Liverpool Street (onsite)

At Auro Door, we’re rethinking fire safety from the ground up.

We’ve developed the UK’s first smart fire doorset system – combining IoT technology, real-time compliance monitoring, and cutting-edge design to transform how buildings stay safe.

We’re growing fast and need the right people to help us scale. This is your chance to be part of a small but ambitious team, building technology that will directly improve safety for thousands of residents nationwide.

About the role

As a Front End Web Developer, you’ll play a key role in designing, building, and optimising the systems that power our smart door ecosystem. You’ll be working across Vue 3 (front end) and NestJS (backend), integrating with IoT data feeds, and collaborating closely with our product and engineering teams to deliver fast, secure, and scalable applications.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain web applications using Vue 3 for the front end and NestJS for the backend.
  • Design and optimise relational databases using PostgreSQL.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance applications.
  • Implement and enhance API services, ensuring efficiency and security.
  • Work in an Agile development environment, adhering to best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.

What we’re looking for

  • Proficiency in Vue 3 and experience with modern front-end development practices.
  • Strong backend development experience with NestJS (or Node.js).
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, including designing schemas and writing efficient queries.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
  • Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with the team.

Nice to have

  • Experience with GraphQL and Prisma ORM.
  • Knowledge of Python for backend or data-related tasks.
  • Exposure to Azure services, such as IoT Hub, Azure Functions, and other cloud-native services.
  • Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud deployments.

Why join Auro

  • Be part of a fast-growing business with a product that genuinely makes a difference.
  • Work alongside a passionate, collaborative, and ambitious team.
  • Opportunity to influence and shape our technology stack as we scale.
  • Ongoing personal and professional development.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
