💻 Backend Developer – Go | Cloud | Microservices

📍 Location: Hybrid (1 day/week in Solihull office)

Are you a backend engineer who thrives in Agile environments and loves solving complex problems with clean, scalable code? We’re hiring a Backend Developer to join a cross-functional team working on greenfield products that are reshaping the future of self-employment.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and maintain microservices using Go
• Deploy services to the cloud and own them in production
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QAs, and product owners
• Refine user stories, design APIs and database schemas
• Conduct code reviews, write documentation, and implement automated tests
• Monitor services and demo your work to stakeholders

Tech Stack:

• Go, SQL, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS
• CI/CD, Git, Agile methodologies
• Opportunities to work full-stack with React or Flutter

What You Bring:

• 3+ years of Go experience (or 1–2 years with strong systems programming background)
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and cloud infrastructure
• Experience with test automation, CI/CD, and containerisation
• Comfortable with pair programming and collaborative development

Bonus Points For:

• GraphQL, Terraform, React, Flutter
• Computer Science degree
