💰 Daily Rate: Open
My client is seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer for an initial 6-month daily rate contract (with likely extensions) to join a leading medical diagnostics project. You’ll work on sophisticated systems that tightly integrate electronics, mechanics, and software — a great opportunity for someone who thrives in hands-on, hardware-focused environments.
🔍 What You’ll Be Doing
- Full software development lifecycle – from requirements to verification
- High- and low-level design, coding, debugging, testing
- Interfacing with hardware components in multi-disciplinary teams
- Working with C, Modern C++, and/or C#
- Scripting with Python for automation/testing (bonus)
- Supporting Agile and Continuous Improvement practices
- Delivering robust solutions in a regulated, quality-driven environment
✅ What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in Software Engineering
- Strong skills in Object-Oriented Design and Implementation, ideally using C++ and/or C#
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python (Lua is a bonus)
- Expert-level experience in at least one core language (e.g. C, Modern C++, or C#/.Net), with working knowledge of others
- Familiar with embedded engineering experience, plus hands-on expertise in at least one additional area such as integration, detailed design, software architecture, or GUI development
- There may be a bit of driver development in firmware required (depending on timing, other availabilities, etc.), however there will definitely be “integration” and troubleshooting control issues.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive mindset
🎯 Why Apply?
- Make a real-world impact through cutting-edge medical tech
- Daily rate contract with potential for long-term extension
- One-stage interview process – face-to-face preferred
- Hands-on, collaborative team environment (3–5 days onsite)
- Be part of a high-performing, supportive engineering culture
