Job Summary

Step into the future of fitness tech with Hapana. We’re searching for a creative, AI-powered UX/UI Designer in Sydney to transform how gyms and studios engage their members worldwide. In this role, you’ll design sleek, intuitive digital experiences across web and mobile — and supercharge your workflow with tools like Cursor, Claude, and ChatGPT to move from idea to execution at lightning speed. Key Responsibilities

• Design intuitive, engaging, and scalable experiences for Hapana’s suite of fitness products (mobile + web).
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitor analysis to inform design decisions.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity UI designs, and design system components in Figma and AI-assisted design tools.
• Leverage AI platforms (e.g., Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, and design-focused AI tools) to accelerate ideation, prototyping, user testing scripts, and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and global stakeholders to deliver consistent, high-quality user experiences.
• Ensure Hapana’s design language evolves with our brand, embedding accessibility and inclusivity.
  
  

Essential

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing mobile and web projects.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma (preferred), Adobe XD, or Sketch.
• Experience leveraging AI tools (Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to accelerate workflows in ideation, prototyping, and documentation.
• Strong grasp of user-centered design principles, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills within agile product teams.
  
  

Preferred / Nice To Have

• Experience designing for SaaS platforms or within the fitness/wellness industry.
• Familiarity with design systems and component-driven design at scale.
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS for improved collaboration with engineers.
• Passion for exploring emerging AI design tools and staying ahead of digital design trends.
• Understanding or previous experience in working within a Product Led Growth (PLG) business.
  
  

Success Measures

In your first 6–12 months as a UX/UI Designer at Hapana, success will look like:

• Design velocity: Rapidly producing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs by leveraging AI tools (Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, etc.), shortening concept-to-delivery cycles.
• User impact: Designing experiences that measurably improve usability, engagement, and customer satisfaction across Hapana’s platform.
• Execution excellence: Creating clear, well-documented design outputs that drive seamless implementation with minimal rework.
• Scalability: Expanding and maintaining Hapana’s design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all products.
• Innovation: Introducing new AI-powered workflows and design approaches that unlock faster execution and higher creative output.
• Accessibility & inclusivity: Delivering solutions that meet accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and expand usability for all members and operators.
