About The Job

We’re seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Engineering with strong leadership skills to manage both our Software Engineering and Professional Services teams. This key role is responsible for leading software engineering initiatives while ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality Data & AI projects for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management for the Engineering and Professional Services teams, ensuring alignment and operational efficiency.
• Develop and execute engineering strategies that support the company’s global objectives and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the CTO on external activities, including sector events, strategic partnerships, pre-sales activities, and marketing initiatives.
• Oversee the delivery of Data & AI projects, working closely with clients to understand and exceed their expectations.
• Foster a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement within both the software engineering and professional services operations.
• Manage the department’s budget, strategically investing in technologies and optimizing resources.
• Ensure compliance with data security and quality standards across engineering and professional services.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Specialization or experience in Data Science and AI is highly desirable.
• 10+ years of experience leading software engineering and professional services teams, ideally within a SaaS or Data Platform context.
• Strong knowledge of system architectures, cloud infrastructure, and agile development methodologies.
• Proven leadership, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams and projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills to work effectively with other departments and meet client needs.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-directed, results-oriented, proactive, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as an entrepreneur or founder of a tech startup.
• A network within the startup and investment communities.
• Certifications or coursework in venture capital or investment analysis.
