Artificial Intelligence Engineer

I'm currently supporting a client in their search for a skilled Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join their product development team and help integrate AI, agent-based architectures, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) into their analytics platform. This is a hybrid role in the Flemish Region.

What You’ll Do

• Develop scalable back-end services and APIs (Python) for AI/agent workflows and MCP integration.
• Implement secure authentication/authorization.
• Build data pipelines to support AI features in compliance with enterprise standards.
• Collaborate in an agile team with engineers, data scientists, and product owners.
• Write tests, conduct code reviews, and help shape back-end best practices.
• Stay up to date on back-end and ML technologies and suggest improvements.

What You Bring:

Must-Haves:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong experience in Python development.
• Knowledge of AI agent-based architectures and MCP integration.
• Familiarity with Key cloak or similar identity management systems.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and Git.
• Agile team experience and strong communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Java/Spring Boot, unit testing frameworks, or cloud experience (AWS, Azure).
• Solid understanding of SQL.
