Position: DevOps Engineer

We are currently seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team and work on our innovative products. If you're passionate about building exceptional Service Delivery and Development systems in container environment, have a strong technical background around technologies like Kubernetes, we'd love to hear from you!

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage infrastructure by designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, reliable, high-performance, and secure Kubernetes with Istio service mesh infrastructure using GitOps and FluxCD in public and private cloud environments.
  • Configure and maintain 3rd party services like NATS, Consul, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis as a part of the system infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline code deployment, test execution, and integration processes in Azure DevOps.
  • Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability and performance using observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Jaeger.
  • Utilize configuration management tools such as GitOps and FluxCD to manage system configurations, software deployments, and updates.
  • Implement security best practices, including cluster and system hardening, across all stages of the software development lifecycle, including secure coding, secure communication, access controls, and vulnerability management.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize system performance, scalability, reliability, and resource utilization.
  • Develop and implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
  • Store and maintain codes, scripts, and configurations in GIT.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure smooth deployment, update, and operation of applications in various environments.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation of DevOps processes, infrastructure, configurations, and best practices in Confluence.
  • Work according to the SDLC as applied at Mirasys.
  • Use the Scrum Framework as applied at Mirasys and use Jira to manage your work.
  • Stay up to date with the latest DevOps tools, technologies, and trends and apply them to improve existing systems and workflows.

 

Preferred Experience

  • Solid experience in designing and implementing Kubernetes infrastructure
  • Solid experience in running secure operations in production: scaling, reliability issues, troubleshooting
  • Building tooling
  • CI/CD using Azure DevOps flows
  • Knowledge of Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu) operating systems.
  • Initiative, pragmatic problem-solving, and great collaboration skills
  • Good English communication skills, Finnish is a plus
  • Knowledge of Windows services and Windows installer is a plus
