Game Lead

We are hiring a Game Lead to join our Helsinki-based Futureplay studio!

We are looking for a highly experienced game developer to lead the design, vision and strategy behind one of the most successful merge games in the market: Merge Gardens.

In this role, you will work closely together with cross-functional peers to refine the game’s roadmap, vision and drive ownership across the development team to reach ambitious goals.

If you are passionate about game design and product management, with a track record of driving successful growth for live games, this is the job for you!

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, vision and strategy behind Merge Gardens
• Lead, mentor and support the design team
• Work with the Game Operations Lead, Product Lead, and others to facilitate, create, and drive the roadmap for Merge Gardens

We require:

• 5+ years of overall experience in game development, along with experience in a leadership or senior role such as game lead, senior/principal designer, product owner or similar role.
• Track record of combining strong game design and liveops expertise to deliver success in F2P mobile games.
• Deep understanding of metrics and mechanics of free-to-play games
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills across disciplines
• Knowledge of mobile gaming trends and the market
• Passion for building games with longevity and strong player engagement.

• Proven ability to craft an actionable design vision and effectively guide teams in its execution
• People leadership and management experience, with the ability to inspire and align cross-functional teams
• Passion for casual games ie. merge or match3
• Proficiency with AI tools for game development
• Hands-on experience with Unity
