Junior AWS Data Engineer

The product and team:

You will work in a team of Data Engineers distributed between Switzerland and Latvia to migrate applications to the cloud along with developing and operating new data products.

As Junior AWS Data Engineer you will:

• Operate AWS based applications, including on-call duty
• Tech stack you will work with: AWS, Glue, S3, Airflow, Redshift (Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solution)
• Validate migrated AWS data pipelines from Teradata
• Develop new high-quality data products on AWS

Job requirements

Must-have:

• First-hand experience of AWS with Glue, S3, Airflow and Redshift and Apache Spark and Iceberg
• Experience with SQL, Python and TypeScript
• Positive attitude, team-oriented, reliable, accountable and solution-oriented
• Familiar with working in a Lean & Agile setup
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Nice-to-have:
• Experience with Teradata or similar, Scala, Kafka and DataFrames
• Experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK)
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• AWS Certifications
