BettingJobs is working with a market leading B2B SaaS provider who are looking to add a Group CTO to their team in Bucharest.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the company’s global technology vision, aligning with business goals.
- Drive the technology roadmap for architecture, infrastructure, and platforms.
- Standardize and integrate development, deployment, and maintenance processes.
- Champion DevOps, continuous delivery, and a high-quality player experience.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies (AI/ML, cloud, automation) to maintain a competitive edge.
- Own production environments, ensuring resilience, uptime, and efficiency.
- Centralize deployments with automation, versioned releases, and shared tooling.
- Establish operational readiness checklists and automation runbooks.
- Coach and guide BU CTOs and engineering leaders.
- Build cross-functional teams capable of operating across products efficiently.
- Standardize support layers for streamlined issue resolution.
- Collaborate with HR and Training to scale technical teams and close skill gaps.
- Lead Security and Data Privacy initiatives with Legal and Compliance.
- Oversee UBO access, permissions, and IT governance policies.
- Align technical operations and access protocols to reduce cross-department friction.
- Partner with CIO, Architecture, and Operations leadership.
- Drive excellence through agile practices, TDD, CI/CD, and consistent standards.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and Finance to enable business goals.
- Optimise on-call rotations and reduce operational load with better tooling.
- Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and partnerships to accelerate innovation.
Requirements:
- 10+ years in software engineering, including 7+ in technical leadership.
- Proven success in SaaS, B2B, or high-availability environments.
- Experience leading large, distributed, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong command of agile methodologies and modern delivery pipelines.
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced leadership training a plus.
