DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.


We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank’s technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas.


You will be working as a full stack developer as part of the Client Manager technology team in Client 360 Technology. You will work as part of an agile/XP team, using test driven development, pair programming and other XP practices. Client 360 provides the platform for Sales teams to provide a complete service offering to the Banks’ Clients. The team is working to decompose a monolith which currently provides many services, including Conflict Clearing, Sustainability Review, Deal Pipeline Management, Booked Revenue and Client Static.



Responsibilities

  • Hands on technical leadership of a development team of 4-5 engineers
  • Writing robust, well tested software and ensuring simplicity in our code
  • Working full stack with emphasis on the server side (Java). Experience with JavaScript technologies are beneficial
  • DevOps – managing Continuous Integration/Delivery pipeline and the production environment
  • Test Driven Development, Pair Programming, Iterative Development and other XP practices


Skills

  • Java development, or experience in other JVM languages (7 years+ experience)
  • Experience of technical leadership, either as a tech lead, or a senior engineer mentoring other team members
  • Experienced in Object Oriented or Functional Programming using Test Driven Development
  • Experienced using agile development practices to develop exceptional, robust software; like Test Driven Development, acceptance testing and pair programming
  • Vision and expertise to use iterative development techniques to build high value software to the business
