The Network Engineer will design, implement, and support network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security. This role involves collaborating with project teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize network environments, and deliver successful projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network hardware, software, and protocols, as well as a focus on continuous improvement and security.

Requirements:

• Design, configure, and deploy network solutions, including LAN/WAN, wireless, and VPN.
• Plan and implement network upgrades and installations based on industry best practices.
• Monitor network performance, diagnose issues, and perform health checks and capacity planning.
• Implement and maintain network security protocols, such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network segmentation.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to protect network infrastructure from threats.
• Integrate network security tools like AD, MFA, Clearpass, and NMS.
• Analyze network traffic and optimize infrastructure to meet business needs.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network architecture, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Generate reports on network performance, incidents, and infrastructure status.
• Provide backup and restore solutions for network appliances.
• Work with internal teams and vendors to support network requirements and resolve issues.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in network infrastructure design, implementation, and administration.
• Experience with enterprise-level networking equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points.
• Proficiency in networking protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, MPLS, and QoS.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (Wireshark, PingPlotter, SolarWinds, PRTG).
• Knowledge of network security best practices and cloud networking (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with SD-WAN, VPN technologies, and automation tools (Python, Ansible) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Preferred certifications: CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, CompTIA Network+, or JNCIA.
• Familiarity with data center operations, virtualized networking (VMware NSX, Hyper-V), and hybrid/cloud environments is desirable.
