SMART IT People has a contract to hire opportunity for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to develop a new Labor Management System. Must have fairly recent PHP and Javascript and experience developing a system from scratch. *Since this is contract to hire, we cannot accept visa candidates. Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years experience developing commercial-grade software systems, with an emphasis on real-time operational systems
• 3+ years experience with PHP and Javascript developing commercial-grade web applications, with an emphasis on User Interface design and development.
• Experience with React.js strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops a plus
• Familiarity with SQL Server a plus
• Must be comfortable working with end-users who have varying levels of technical knowledge
• Ability to work on small teams to deliver world-class software projects
• Strong attention to detail with an analytical mindset and outstanding problem-solving skills.
• Awareness of current cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques

Job description:

• Design, develop, implement, manage, monitor, and support a new Labor Management System, which is just beginning in its SDLC. There implementation language(s) are PHP and Javascript.
• Gather system requirements from end users and document for implementation.
• Post-production deployment, troubleshoot software and network-related issues.
• Participate in the Software Change Management Process.
• Act as Tier 2/Tier 3 Support for operational issues with the given application
• Stay apprised of software development trends, recommend improvements to our DevOps process where appropriate
• Willingness to travel to other sites as needed (~10%).
