About the role

We are looking for a frontend engineer to lead the development of its World MiniApp, which is a website for mobile rendered through the World app. The candidate should be an expert in Next.js and fluent in TypeScript, React, and Tailwind.

• Next.js (Typescript)
• React
• Tailwind (shadcn)
• World’s MiniKit
• Postgres

Key responsibilities

• Lead frontend development of the World MiniApp with focus on performance and user experience
• Architect and implement scalable, reusable frontend systems
• Drive technical discussions and mentor junior engineers
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver features
• Review pull requests, maintain code quality standards, and improve the codebase through refactoring

Requirements

• Expert in React, TypeScript, and Next.js
• Strong experience with Tailwind and mobile-first design
• Track record of building and scaling successful web applications
• Deep understanding of frontend performance optimization
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Interest in blockchain technology and its applications

Nice to have

• Experience in technical leadership
• Experience with Ethereum development (Viem/ethers.js)
• Familiarity with shadcn and World's MiniKit
• Experience contributing to open-source software
• Experience scaling infrastructure, especially databases, hosting, and networking
