Title: iOS Developer

Location: Chicago Old Post Office (preferred) or Deerfield, IL – 3 days per week onsite (potential conversion to FTE requires 4 days per week onsite)

Duration & Type: 3-Month Contract with potential to convert to full-time or extend

Compensation: Competitive W2 Hourly Rate ($51-$54), Access to Healthcare and Dental Insurance Plan of Choice. (Benefit Plans can be requested at time of submission to client)

Summary

Chamberlain Advisors is seeking a highly skilled iOS Developer to join our team supporting native mobile app development. This role is a backfill for an offshore resource and has strong potential to convert to a full-time opportunity for the right candidate. The developer will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining mobile applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high-quality delivery. What You Will Be Accountable For

  • Design, build, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
  • Develop and implement modular, scalable, and testable code with a focus on performance and maintainability.
  • Integrate APIs and manage networking logic for mobile applications.
  • Conduct debugging and performance tuning using tools such as Xcode Instruments.
  • Perform unit testing and contribute to quality assurance efforts to ensure reliable app delivery.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver seamless mobile experiences.
  • Identify and resolve problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback.
  • Ensure all code meets industry standards, best practices, and compatibility with devices and operating systems.
  • Participate in hands-on coding assessments and technical discussions to support delivery excellence.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to tools, workflows, and development practices.

What Qualifications You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience with strong focus on iOS development.
  • Expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, API integration, networking, modularization, debugging, unit testing, and performance optimization.
  • Experience using Xcode Instruments and related iOS development tools.
  • Strong knowledge of design techniques, principles, and production processes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, test automation, concurrency, and modern iOS frameworks (preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Self-motivated, independent contributor with the ability to manage time effectively and hit the ground running.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
