About the Opportunity

MateHR is currently seeking experienced Backend Engineer on behalf of one of our most ambitious client rapidly scaling fintech startup that's reshaping global transaction services. This exciting organisation is quickly expanding its presence internationally, notably making significant strides within the UK market. You'll become part of a passionate, collaborative team committed to delivering impactful financial solutions.

Technical Expertise:

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development GoLang preferably (can be also Java).
• Experience with working with observability stack (logging, metrics, tracing).
• Expertise in building RESTful APIs following company standards.
• Understanding of Domain-Driven Design and Modularization concepts.
• Asynchronous processing with approaches like co-routines, messages queuing and event streaming (Kafka).
• Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL) such as evolving schemas, transaction isolation levels and writing optimal SQL queries.
• Understanding caching patterns (Redis).
• Experience with Docker and similar container technologies

Nice to Have:

● Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)

● BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
