The Role
The Market Researcher will participate in market research projects including project design, secondary research, primary research (qualitative and quantitative), field work research logistics, including surveys, in-depth interviews, focus groups and other data gathering strategies, and data analysis and reporting.
Main duties include primary and secondary research and desk analysis, competitor profiling, market sizing, and market attractiveness analysis. Also, support implementation of market research collected form a range of qualitative and quantitative sources. This includes survey and discussion guide development, targeting, recruiting, interviewing, natural language analysis, strategic analysis, and reporting.
The entry level of this position to be determined by the experience and qualifications of the candidate. There is the possibility of full-time employment.
Secondary research and desk analysis
- Conducting secondary research and desk analysis relevant to go-to-market and marketing strategies.
- Analyzing published market data and statistics
- Assessing future trends
- Conduct competitive/industry/market trend research in specific segments, markets, and delivery modes using appropriate specialized data sources.
- Contact a list of contacts for a specific research project according to screening criteria
- Identifying and targeting key decision-makers
- Recruiting decision-makers to participate as respondents in the survey or project.
- Contact businesses or employees by telephone and asks screening questions
- Schedule and achieve the largest number of effective interviews
- Support in the development of qualitative and/or quantitative research data gathering instruments
- Transcribe interviews conducted from peers
- Conduct natural language analysis of qualitative findings
- Conduct strategic analysis
Education
- Bachelors 4-year degree in business, marketing, market research, industrial engineering or related fields
- Preferred 2+ years related experienceStrong computer and research skills and adept at conducting internet research
