**Candidates will need to go onsite in one of the following locations as follows:
Vienna- 6 days per month
Watford, England- 4 days per week for the first 3 months, then 2-3 days after this
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure on OpenShift and AWS, aligned with best practices for high availability, disaster recovery, and fault tolerance.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, and design CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins) for efficient and reliable deployments.
Ensure security and compliance across public & private cloud environments, and drive observability by utilizing monitoring tools to proactively resolve issues.
Collaborate across Dev, QA, and Ops to embed DevOps practices and toolchains
Mentoring teams to promote continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements:
Technical academic background
Advanced knowledge of LINUX and LINUX infrastructures
Advanced knowledge in the field of virtualization (vSphere, KVM, Hyper-V)
Advanced knowledge of and experience in OpenShift and/or Kubernetes incl. Docker in a JAVA environment
Knowledge of all relevant DevOps security aspects
Practical experience how to architect, setup, configure, maintain and operate Kubernetes / OpenShift environments
Fluency in English and German is required
Open and customer-oriented mindset, communication skills
Teamwork, readiness and reliability
Willingness to travel occasionally if required
